the day started with picnic at pasir ris park!

steph and elaine brought along 2 small tents and 1 big tent and set it up for the children to have fun!

again, bea and princess went inside the big tent to play after it was being set up!

after having breakfast, each of us bought some food along, the boys started to slide down the slope next to where the pavilion where we were at.

it started drizzling… so we packed up and headed back to the chai’s place to have wash up and have lunch.

after showering, after lunch, it was cake cutting time!

then it was time for presents! princess and k helping ethan to open his presents!

then it was time to meet the rest at vivo city for the rest of the celebration.

at starbucks.

while walking to starbucks, princess saw this princess balloon sculpture and wanted to get it.

after our coffee break, we went to build-a-bear!

the bear was then being stuffed by the staff. see the initial piece of clothing princess chose for her bear.

the staff gave each child 2 hearts. the children had to make a wish for ethan on 1 heart and pass it back to the staff for her to stuff it into ethan’s bear. for the other heart, it went inside each child’s bear.

while they were doing their wishes, i went around looking for another set of clothing for princess. her bear was pink and clothing pink… hmmm..

after the hearts were being stuffed into the bears, it was then time to give their bears a bath!

after washing, it was then time for the staff to sew up the bear and dress the bear…

while waiting for each other, the children started posing at the entrance of the shop where they had the huge build-a-bear logo on the floor…

before we left the shop, the staff had the children sing a birthday song for ethan and took a group photograph of them all…

then, they sent the adults an email with birthday greetings!

then we went to king lear for dinner!

and we celebrated elaine’s birthday there as well!

princess likes the pigs in the angry birds game…

oh yeah...  i thought she would pefer the birds, but no... she prefers the pigs.  after searching for a long while, i finally found a store that sells the pigs and bought one for her!

it’s our last day in phuket… we checked out early and took the airport transfer to the airport…

hmmm…. a very interesting thing happened on the way to the airport… our driver went to pick someone from another resort… the person (the stranger) was crying and we were thinking what happened… along the way to the airport, we saw a truck transporting some elephants and we pointed out to our kids, the driver too pointed it out. the stranger started a whole philosophical rant about animals and wants and haves and what nots! we thought the stranger will stop ranting after a while, but no… we thought wrong… the stranger went on and on and on all the way to the airport… we were all glad to have arrived at the airport!

we had subway at the airport for breakfast and then it was time to board the plane and head home!

it’s day 3 in phuket and it’s breakfast time and then back to the swimming pool for some fun again!

after the morning in the pool, it was lunch at old dutch and then we went shopping. after a while, hubby and i brought the kids back to the resort while elaine, steph and eric continued shopping.

we had arranged to meet at lemone for massage before dinner.

hmmm… not much photographs today as my camera was running out of battery and i didn’t bring my charger!

after massage, we went to macs for dinner and then desert again at hagaan dazz just outside our resort!

while walking from macs to hagaan dazz, we pass by this woman selling blinking lights headband. princess wanted the pink minnie mouse like one and hubby decided to get that for her and the devil looking ones for the boys.

it’s day 2 in phuket… and breakfast time!

after breakfast, it’s time to hit the beach!!!

while playing with the waves, someone approached us to try paragliding… eric wanted to try paragliding and thus he went up! the rest, hubby arranged for them to sit on the banana boat!

princess was pretty scared of the banana boat. she was sitting right in front, thus, was facing the wind! the rest had fun!

it was hot and humid by the beach and we ordered coconut to quench the heat!

after a whole morning at the beach, we went to chez bernard’s by the other end of the beach for lunch… it was a LONG walk… and under the scorching heat, it was an even LONGER walk… by the time we get to the café, we were all melting…

after lunch, we went to massage again and back to the resort to rest before heading out to jungceylon to jalan jalan.

while walking around to decide on what to eat for dinner, we saw this bungee jump thing and koen wanted to try!

while koen was on the bungee, princess wanted to try too. both hubby and I were surprised!

we told her if she is scared, she can tell the uncles to stop and come down.

after that it was dinner at kfc and then desert at haggan dazz!

eric ordered a very beautiful desert!

then it’s back to our resort to rest for the night!

it is our annual trip to phuket again…

this year, elaine, stephanie, eric joined us!

in the plane,… the kids wanted to sit together, but it was against safety regulations… so elaine sat with the boys…

we landed at phuket international airport and hubby had arranged for the hotel’s transport to pick us up but there were some miscommunication and our transport didn’t come… we had to book our own transport to the resort…

when we arrived at the resort, the staff apologies for the miscommunication and arranged for a complimentary transfer for our return trip!

after putting our luggage down in our rooms, we went over to old dutch for lunch…

after their lunch, the kids went over to watch tv at the lounge next door…

after lunch, we went back to our room, change into our swim suits and head to the swimming pool at our wing of the resort. the resort has 3 wings; 2 smoking wings and 1 non-smoking wing. this time, the resort has put us up at the non-smoking wing; which is their new wing.

there were 2 floats and 1 noodle in the pool. we didn’t know who those belong too and took them to play. after a while, the kids were bored – the pool was pretty deep, the shallow part was 1.2m in depth. so we went over to one of the older wings, where there was 2 slides for the kids to play!

after a few hours in the pool, we went back to change and rest before heading to the pizza company just at the door step of the resort for dinner!

after dinner, we went over to lemone for massage! princess as usual, doing foot massage!

we woke up at 5am this morning. so with the cosy and relaxing atmosphere, she fell asleep during the massage. k was pretty amused by it…

it’s then back to resort to rest for the night.

chc’s first ever family service!

that means all the children will sit in the main service with us!

that mean’s a total of 2 and half rolls of seats for our cg! 50 seats in all!

we met elaine, steph, eric for dinner at the tanglin tree.

the children enjoyed themselves thoroughly at the playground they have there, but sadly to say, the food is just average and the pricing of the food was above average and the service standard is terribly biased against locals!

princess’ school went hi-tech! instead of signing in and out on their attendance sheet, now, they use access cards to tap in and out to take the children’s attendance!

they have been reading this little reader during mandarin class on the little red riding hood.

her teachers taught them how to bake cupcakes in February in school and even gave them the recipe to bring home to bake.

princess had been asking when she can bake with me. since school’s closed today for planning, I decide we should try baking it at home today!

both of us enjoyed the baking!

the cupcakes were nice! she had 2 in one go for tea break!

side note: for those who enjoyed the cupcakes i have been baking, it’s all thanks to her teacher who gave them the recipe!

look at the amount of food! elaine ordered pizza and kfc!

after the food, the adults put up the piñata and that begins the hitting! it took all the kids approx 30minutes to break it open! tough piñata!

then its time to cut the cake!

dawn invited the gang to her place to celebrate the new year. we had lunch – dawn cooked claypot rice and then the kids went for a swim in the pool!

after service today, we went over to elaine's place for dinner and to 捞鱼生!
